The Susquehannock High School Student Council is sponsoring a Kick Cancer 5K  Color Run on Saturday, April 23, 2016 (rain date is Saturday, April 30, 2016). The Color Run is a 5k walk/run where participants get sprayed with washable color dye as they pass four different locations on the course.

Run times for the event are 9:00 a.m. for the adult and teen run and 9:45 a.m. for the family fun run. The entry fee is $20.00 for youth, 18 years-old and younger; $25.00 for adults, 19 years-old and older; and $75 for families, up to four participants. Proceeds from the event will be donated to the American Cancer Society.

“Student Council is very excited about the Color Run because it combines a fun event for students and families and helps to support cancer research,” senior Emily Landis said and added that the Student Council’s goal is to raise $4,000 through the run and other activities in April.

Registration is available through March 31, 2016 for participants to be guaranteed a race t-shirt. Pre-registration will be held on Friday, April 22, 2016 from 3:00 – 4:30 p.m. in the Susquehannock High School lobby. Race day registration begins at 8:00 a.m. at the high school.
