SHS Students Advance to Regional Orchestra Festival

Four Susquehannock High School orchestra students and one band student recently participated in the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association (PMEA) District 7 Orchestra Festival and three students qualified for the Central Region Orchestra Festival.

Sophomore Lucas Sherman (violin), senior Amy Whitesell (violin), and junior Julien Sherman (percussion) were selected to perform in the regional festival, which will take place on Friday, February 26, 2016 at 7 p.m. at the Weis Center for the Performing Arts at Bucknell University in Lewisburg, Pa. The guest conductor for this year’s festival is Dr. Jeffrey Tedford, Director of Orchestral Activities and Music Department Audition Coordinator at Grove City College.
