People say that money can’t buy you happiness, but for the customers at Walmart in Harrisburg, PA money brought them happiness for the holidays.

On December 14 around 12:30 p.m., a man given the name “Santa B” sent in one of his representatives to pay off layaway for every customer.

The total cost of the store’s layaway was $79,000.

Assistant manager Shayla Hall was at work when someone told her, and other customers that had something on layaway, it had been paid off by an anonymous person.

“I was lost. I needed to know who paid off my layaway so that I could thank them, but I was told that he didn’t even leave his name and he wanted to go by ‘Santa B,’” said Hall.

Past employee Carissa Allen was transferred 3 days before “Santa B” came and paid off all her layaway.

“When I heard that someone had paid off the things that I had on layaway for my kids, I cried my eyes out because I would have never thought that someone would be that nice and do something like that,” said Allen.

Allen also had things on her layaway at her new store, and when she went to work to pay it off, she found out “Santa B” paid that off too.

Allen was one of five people whose layaway was paid  at the Walmart in Shrewsbury.

Adrian Fisher, another assistant manager, was watching the news when he found out what had just happened at his store.

“I rushed to the store to help my peers since I knew that they would end up being busy,” said Fisher.

Fisher didn’t have anything on layaway because he paid it in full a few days prior.

“I was so caught off guard that all I could do was smile and laugh and think what if I had waited. However, to see the reactions of those customers truly in need… getting a blessing like this is a great feeling,” said Fisher.

Whoever this “Santa B” is, he or she  is a great  person because of the holiday cheer that gave many families a huge relief this Christmas.

Santa B made his last stop in Mechanicsburg, PA to pay off half the layaway at the store.
