As the homecoming festivities came to an end this past weekend, many were exhausted from all of the fun.
From the pep rally, to the tailgating, to the football game, to the all the prep it took to make the dance run smoothly, many can say they had an awesome night spent with friends.
For the freshman class, Homecoming was their first taste of high school dances.
The “Night in the Orient” was one to remember for freshman Connor Hood.
“[Homecoming] was a lot of fun! The music was really good,” said Hood.
However, the seniors are seasoned pros at what makes a school dance amazing, and there have been some mixed reviews.
Senior Gabrielle Urik was not impressed with her senior year Homecoming.
“There were more people to dance with; this year the music wasn’t that good,” said Urik.
On the other hand, many seniors believe the 2012 Homecoming was the best one yet.
Senior and Homecoming Queen Caroline Savin agrees with this statement.
“I had a lot of fun because I ended up winning Homecoming Queen,” said Savin. “I got to experience all of the court activities, [like being] in the pep rally, . . . it was my last Homecoming, so I went out with a bang.”
One thing that can be agreed on across the classes is that the lighting in the gym was better than that of past years.
“The lanterns were lower, and they didn’t really get in the way,” said Caroline.
Furthermore, the “Night in the Orient” theme was a hit. Susky’s gym was filled with lanterns, chinese symbols, and the chinese dragon.
“I liked the atmosphere with all of the lights; the theme was really cool,” said Hood.
With the success of the Homecoming festivities, many students are excitedly anticipating Prom.
“I’m super pumped for Prom! My mom and I have already started looking [for dresses],” said Urik.
Although the dance itself had mixed reviews, all can agree that it was a night spent with good friends and memories made.
