Since the school year is coming to a close, summer plans are coming into view.

Summer is what most students look forward to, not only because there isn’t any school but also because they often go on vacations. Vacations are great ways to get away and  experience new and exciting adventures.

Many students this year have big plans for this summer. Some people will be going out to places and having fun, while some prefer staying indoors and watching Netflix.

Freshman Caitlyn Minor is flying away to Germany for the whole summer to spend time with her dad.

“I’m really excited to see both my dad and Germany. I will also be traveling to other parts of Europe,” said Minor. “Also, when I’m in Germany, I will be going to a soccer camp, which is where I hope to improve my soccer skills.”

On the other hand, there are the people who would much rather enjoy spending time indoors.

Freshman Hayley Rose this summer claims to not to have a lot of plans.

“I will probably spend a lot of time watching Grey’s Anatomy, and also hanging out with my friends,” said Rose. “But I will also be going to a field hockey camp for a few days and play SYC softball.”

Students aren’t the only ones excited for summer; teachers hope to spend their summer relaxing and taking a break from school for a bit.

Art teacher Wesley Myers has plans to travel this year.

“Me and my wife hope to take my four year old son to ocean city for a few days,” said Myers.

Summer this year should be fun and exciting for both students and teachers hoping to take a break off of school.
