Gail Shelley, office attendant at Susquehannock High School, is leaving after the conclusion of this year.

“I am moving for retirement,” said Shelley, an eighteen year veteran at the high school.

Shelley’s husband has been a manager at UPS for quite some time now and has reached the conclusion of his career. He plans on moving with his wife to Savannah, Georgia, not only because of the beautiful area, but to be closer to their grand kids who live in neighboring Florida.

Moving to Georgia was an easy decision for Shelley to make as she has always had a niche for warm weather and was born and raised in southern California.

After moving to Georgia, Shelley plans to become a tour guide at a historical society or cemetery.

“History has always been my favorite subject,” said Shelley. “[That’s why I’m] becoming a tour guide.”

Junior Emily Landis will be sure to miss one of her favorite administrators at the high school.

“I loved her personality,” said Landis. “She’s so nice. She truly does care about every student.”

Secretary Lisa Little has worked with Shelley for numerous years, and one thing sticks out in her mind in regards to what she’ll miss most about her friend.

“Her tidiness,” said Little. “She always has a place for everything, always very organized. I don’t know how we’ll keep clean without her.”

Whatever her retirement endeavors involve, everyone here at Susquehannock certainly wishes her the best, and she will be greatly missed.
