ABC Family presents the 25 Days of Christmas

While some begin to decorate their house and hang up lights on December first, others relax while watching abcfamily’s 25 Days of Christmas.
The abcfamily schedules every December night with holiday favorites. From old claymation Christmas specials first broadcasted in 1964 to holiday movies made in 2011 like Arthur Christmas, the 25 Days of Christmas has a show or movie to help everyone get into the holiday spirit.
Some of the favorite movies of students include Elf (2003) starring Will Ferrell, Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas(2000) starring Jim Carrey, The Santa Clause (1994) starring Tim Allen, National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation (1989) and The Polar Express (2004).
Entangled in the schedule of classics are some of abcfamily’s series holiday specials. The Fosters and Switched at Birth had their new Holiday episode on December 8, Melissa and Joey and Baby Daddy on December 10, and Pretty Little Liars and Chasing Life on December 9.
Junior Emily Landis will be watching the 25 Days of Christmas this month.
“It gets me in to the Christmas spirit. I watch one [movie or show] every night,” said Landis. “[I look forward to watching] the Home Alone movies, The Grinch and Elf even though I’ve already watched it.”
Freshman Emma Stifler also watches abcfamily to get excited for the holidays.
“I watch it every year,” said Stifler. “I like to watch Elf. I like to watch The Santa Claus movies, and I like to watch the Christmas specials that they have every year.”
The 25 Days of Christmas lineup has become a part of students’ holiday traditions. With a couple weeks of the holiday season left, students will be checking out the schedule for their favorite holiday show.
