Student Spotlight: Top 10 graduates’ greatest accomplishments

  As the third marking period has come to a close, senior GPAs are locked, and class ranks have been released.

  The Top 10 of the 2013 graduating class have been asked the following question:
“Other than the academic achievement of making it to the Top 10 of your grade, what has been your greatest accomplishment throughout your four years of high school?”
1) Timothy Frey: “Opening the coffee shop [at school] has been my greatest accomplishment because it is something that will hopefully stick with the school for many years to come and will really help out FBLA.”
2) Colleen McGonigle: “My greatest accomplishment in high school was placing high enough in All-State Choir to have the honor of qualifying for he NAFME All-Eastern Festival this year.”
3) Elizabeth Lesko: “ [My greatest achievement has been] getting all 5’s on my AP exams because that’s something that goes beyond high school and will really help me in college.”
4) Courtney Reed: “The greatest accomplishment I have had has been being able to balance the billions of extracurriculars that I am involved in while still being able to maintain… my GPA.”
5) Jason Hagel: “Being accepted to Juniata College [has been my greatest accomplishment] because they have a really well known science program, and I am going to college for Environmental Science.”
6) Evan Jacque: “I would say balancing such a big workload with other activities and getting good AP scores [has been my greatest accomplishment].”
7) Elizabeth Garrison: “I would say my greatest accomplishment throughout my four years is getting a scholarship to my favorite college and being recruited to play on their volleyball team.”
8) Jeremy Sechrist: “[My greatest accomplishment was when] I got my Eagle Scout Award. It took a lot of work and looks good on college and job applications for the future.”
9) Melissa Shallcross: “I guess I would say my greatest achievement has been being able to be the president of the National Honors Society this year.”
10) Rachel Moltz: “My greatest accomplishment in high school, other than academics, include winning counties, districts, and tying for third in States for Volleyball [on the volleyball team].”
