Attack of the Show began back in 2005 on the G4 channel, and, over the years, has accumulated almost 1,700 episodes.

It was hosted by Candace Bailey and Sara Underwood, with guests stars such as William Shatner and Ryan Reynolds appearing every once in awhile.

Attack of the Show was all about video-games, movies, and technology in general. It would give reviews of the latest movies, previews of upcoming movies, and updates on anything that happens in between. It also featured parodies and interviews with casts from movies.

They would play new video games and tell the basics about it, such as plot, gameplay, and graphics. They would also meet with voice actors of the games’ characters and with the game developers themselves.

While it had a legion of fans watching it, all eager for the next episode, it couldn’t be saved from G4’s remodeling. According to the Huffington Post, G4 will “move into a more upscale, sophisticated guy TV space.” Since Attack of the Show didn’t fit into that new look, it was canceled, along with another similar show called X-Play.

The last episodes consisted of the cast counting down their favorite moments from the series and talking about the last few upcoming movies. They invited back old hosts and guest stars to countdown the episodes with them. The show will be missed by fans everywhere, and a show with the same humor, updates, and dedication as Attack of the Show will never come again.
