How Real Can the Sophomores Get?

By Kristen Krobot, Reporter

Sophomores are partaking in “Get Real Day” on March 2, 8, 15. Students work with the York Jewish Community Center and talk about stereotyping and seeing things from someone else’s perspective. The first half of the day is focused on doing icebreakers while the second half of the day gets more emotional when students discuss their personal struggles that many do not know about.

Students work with peer leaders to do activities.

Sophomore Lily Stockbridge saw the day as a beneficial learning experience. “What I got most out of the day was just to give people the benefit of the doubt before judging them,” said Stockbridge, “It was interesting to see what others were going through as well as yourself.”

The diversity program has their last “Get Real Day” on March 15.
