This year Principal Dr. Kevin Molin and his technology committee decided to switch from Blackboard to Canvas.

After the years of using Blackboard, Molin found a new way for teachers to post assignments. It used Google and was easier for teachers and students. They switched because Blackboard was going to go with Microsoft, but Canvas, a new choice, was going to use Google.

Since all the students and teachers have Google accounts, Canvas made sense. Molin got a group of students and teachers who liked Canvas better than Blackboard. The teachers are still getting used to using canvas, but they say it is easier to for them to use.

Canvas has more to offer than Blackboard did. It provides more for the teachers and for the students. On Canvas you can post grades and add reminders for students. It also provides up coming assignments that teachers will do in class.

Canvas will help students be prepared for upcoming assignments, tests, and quizzes.
