JV Field Hockey Remains Undefeated

JV field hockey gave it their all against Eastern on Thursday, October 1, taking home another Warrior win, 2-0.

The girls spent their Wednesday practice before the game improving plays through offensive and defensive drills. This paid off and was shown during the game as the team worked together, controlling their passes and reading the field.

Freshman Kenna Hancock, playing center midfield, assisted goals, keeping the Warriors in the lead.

Sophomore Sydney Smith, who plays on the JV team, thought the girls had a great game.

“The team played very well, and our passes looked better than they ever have,” said Smith.

Junior varsity player Maddie Tomasic watched the JV game.

“They played really well and controlled the field,” said Tomasic.

Junior and Varsity player Brooke Morris also agreed with Smith, but thinks the girls can improve on some skills for their next game.

“They can work on dodging and going to the ball more,” said Morris.

Rain or shine, family and friends filled the bleachers and players with positive attitudes as they cheered for the team, loud and proud of their girls.

The girls’ next game is Monday against Gettysburg on the home field at 5:30 p.m.
