The New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks have claimed their respective conference crowns and are on their way to Super Bowl XLIX.

The Patriots are one point favorites for the game, and perhaps rightfully so. The Patriots won on Sunday in a convincing 45-7 victory, whereas Seattle barely squeaked by Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers in a 28-22 overtime win to appear in their second straight Super Bowl.

Senior Will Hartsfield believes the Patriots will add to their dominant victory two weeks from now against the Seahawks.

“The Patriots came to play on Sunday,” said Hartsfield. “When Tom Brady connects with Rob Gronkowski, there is just no stopping that offense, and that will continue to the Super Bowl.”

Junior Ify Akunna believes it will be a much closer game in the Super Bowl than what many give credit for.

“Tom Brady will be fired up,” said Akunna. “But I don’t think it will be enough. I think the Seahawks beat them somewhere along the lines of 31-27.”

Junior Dervon Mayberry believes the Ravens should be in the same position the Patriots are in now.

“[The Ravens] should have won that game [against the Patriots],” said Mayberry. “But I think the Seattle offense shuts them down. The only reason the Patriots won was because the Colts should not have been in the playoffs.”

The Patriots were ranked fourth in overall points per game in the NFL this season, but the Seahawks were the best defense in the league in terms of points allowed this season. Sounds a lot like the 2013 Super Bowl between the high powered offensive Broncos and the number one defensively ranked Seattle Seahawks. The Seahawks dominated last year’s Super Bowl 48-8.
